Grain are stored for future use and therefore needs to be clear in their method of storage and maintenance.

There are two major factors that need to be considered when it comes to the storage of grains in the store.

• Water Availability in the grains

⇒Grain need to be dried fully before they are kept in a store this is because the presence of water content inside  a grain can lead to its spoilage and fungi growth in them.

• Cool and Dry place

⇒Grains should be stored in a cool and dry place to avoid the growth of fungi and bacteria in such kind of place.

The store should be kept away form direct sunlight and wetness which cn come as a result of poor maintenance of the store.
