An artery transports oxygeneted blood to the parts of the body where as a vein takes the blood containing carbon dioxied from the cells and brings it back to the lungs

  • They have thick walls.
  • They distribute blood to other parts of the body.
  • Blood pressure is high in artery.
  • Arteries end in capillaries.
  • They have valves.

  • They carry deoxygenated blood.
  • They have thin walls.
  • They collect blood from all the parts of the body.
  • Blood pressure is low in veins.
  • They don't have valves.
