RABI CROPS:
•Rabi crops are sown at the beginning of the rainy season.
•They are known as monsoon crops.
•Major Kharif crops are rice, maize, cotton, jowar, bajra etc.
•These crops need a lot of water and hot weather to grow.
•Harvesting months are from september to october.
Kharif Crops:
•Kharif crops are sown at the end of monsoon or at the beginning of winter.
•They are known as winter or spring crops.
•Major Rabi crops are wheat, gram, peas, barley etc.
•A warm climate is needed for germination and cold climate for growth of crops.
•Harvesting months are from March to April.
