1. colloidal size is 1-1000nm . but suspension particles have more than 1000nm size.
2. colloidal particles not seperated by filtration but suspension particles will filtered by filtration.

Colloidal solution :

★ A colloidal solution appears to be homogeneous but is actually heterogeneous.

★. The size of colloidal particles is between 10^-4 to 10-7 nunometres.

★ Colloidal particles are not visible with the naked eyes or a small microscope. The particles can be seen under an ultra microscope .

★ They pass through a filter paper.

★ They are also very stable , the colloidal particles do not settle on standing.

★ They scatter light and hence show tyndall effect .

Suspension :

★ It is a heterogeneous mixture .

★ The suspended particles are visible to the naked eyes.

★ The size of suspended particles is 10^-3 cm or more.

★ The suspended particles are retained over the filter paper .

★ Suspensions are unstable . The suspended particles settle down on standing .

★ Suspensions may show tyndall effect.
