Write two differences between Striated and un-striated muscles.

The difference between striated and non striated Tissue are as follows :-

1)In striated tissue ,striations are present whereas in unstriated ,striations are absent.

2)Striated are Voluntary in Action whereas Unstriated are involuntary in actions .

3)Striated are long and cylindrical while unstriated are long with pointed ends.

4)Striated are multinucleated whereas unstriated are uninucleated.

5)Sarcomeres are Absent in striated whereas in Unstriated Sarcomeres reticulum is poorly developed.

6)In striated Numerous mitochondria and glycogen granules are present whereas in unstriated they are present in less number.

7)Striated can be seen attached to the skeleton whereas unstriated are seen in internal organs .

Example : Biceps muscle is the example of striated and intestinal muscle is the example of unstriated.

Straited muscles : they are long and cylindrical with numerous nuclei on outer edges. All the movements in Straited muscles are under our control.

Unstraited : they are small and tapered with single Centre nucleus. All the movements of Unstraited muscles are not under our control.
