Write two examples of each
a) muscular force
b) frictional force
c) normal force
d) tension force
Answers
Answer:
Explanation:
1) Muscular force---- is a type of force which acts after contact.
When force is applied on the body using help of muscles like arms or legs is known as muscular force.
For example : Walking, running, weightlifting, kicking a ball etc.
2) FRICTIONAL FORCE----Rubbing both hands together to create heat.
A sled sliding across snow or ice.
Skis sliding against snow.
A person sliding down a slide is an example of sliding friction.
3)The normal force is the support force exerted upon an object that is in contact with another stable object. For example, if a book is resting upon a surface, then the surface is exerting an upward force upon the book in order to support the weight of the book.
4)Gravity for one, but anything that can apply a force to a mass and influence its behavior would also qualify. Also included would be the EM & strong/weak nuclear forces.
And a real life example: water surface tension, where bugs can scamper across water and defy the law of gravity. And in that example, the surface tension of water is greater than the tension of gravitational forces acting on the mass of the bug.
