HII. adipose tissues acts as an insulating layer helping to reduce heat loss through the skin. It also has a protective function providing mechanical energy and support around some of the major organs. eg-kidney. hope it helps you.

Adipose tissues are found beneath the skin or around internal organs and also in the bone marrow, etc.
