- Stomata are essential for the exchange of gases and photosynthesis. They regulate the rate of transpiration by simply changing the vents.
The function of stomata:-
- It helps in the removal of surplus water from the plant through transpiration.
- They provide assistance in return for gas.
- By opening and shutting in response to the climate, it regulates the moisture balance.
- Water does not escape through pores while the stomata are closed at night.
