The word Sovereign implies that India is neither a dependent or dominion of any other nation but an independent on its own. There is no one above it, it is free to take decision for their own country , free to decide on various global affairs. India can acquire a foreign territory being a Sovereign Country.

Socialism in India is a political movement founded early in the 20th century, as a part of the broader Indian independence movement against the colonial British Raj. It grew quickly in popularity as it espoused the causes of India's farmers and labourers against the zamindars, princely class and landed gentry

With the 42nd Amendment of the Constitution of India enacted in 1976, the Preamble to the Constitution asserted that India is a secular nation. The Republic of India is the largest democracy in the world. India is the seventh largest and the scond most populous in the world. The world's largest democracy by electorate was created after independence in 1947 under the leadership of its nationalist movement, the Indian National Congress

The government abides by constitutional checks and balances. The Constitution of India, which came into effect on 26 January 1950, statesin its preamble that India is a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic.
