Answer:

Harappan homes were built on both sides of the street in a well-planned manner.

Explanation:

  • Indus Valley homes were built from dried or baked mud or clay bricks. Stones were not used. A few other materials were used to compliment the bricks to make the roofs, floors, interior walls etc.
  • They consist of flat roofs and the upper storeys were connected by stairs. The walls were thick and had fewer windows.
  • Kitchens were constructed with an objective for fireplace and large jars for storing the grains and other stocks.
  • Bathrooms were constructed with covered drains which will get connected to the main drains located in the street

Answer:

State the characteristics of houses of Harappan cities.

They were either one or two storeys high, with rooms built around a courtyard.

Most houses had a separate bathing area.

Some houses had wells to supply water.

Every house had dustbins so that no garbage was littered.

Houses had drain pipes which were connected to the main drain.

This is all I know Mate Hope it helps and stay safe!!
