Two main functions of carbohydrates in plants are: (i) Polysaccharides such as starch serve as storage molecules. (ii) Cellulose, a polysaccharide, is used to build the cell wall.

Carbohydrates can perform two basic functions that will be as follows:


• For the cell wall building work, we will require the cellulose which is a type of polysaccharide


• In addition to this, the polysaccharide can also work well for the molecules storages mainly starch is used to do so.
