Magnetic field lines are fictitious objects. They are conceptualized to indicate magnetic field on a magnetic material. They give visual representation to magnetic field around magnetic material. They originate on north pole and end on a south pole. A tangent to a magnetic line gives the direction of force on a north pole. The magnitude of the force is given in terms of the density of magnetic lines at that point. Higher the density, larger the force. These are also called lines of force. The number of lines in unit area perpendicular to field lines is magnetic flux.

One also has electric lines of force and they are similar, only magnetic poles are replaced by electric charges. Both these concepts are useful for visualization but don’t play much role in calculations.

✨ HEY MATE ✨

➡️Two main properties of a magnet are :-

1) Like poles( - - ) of a magnet always repel eachother.
2) Unlike poles (- + )of a magnet always attracts eachother .
⏭️ It is mainly consist of Carbon Compounds !
