This annex provides brief explanations of methods, strengths and weaknesses of assessments and estimates based on:
• diet diversity and food frequency
• a coping strategies index
• a household economy rapid appraisal
• a food poverty (purchasing power) approach
Note that the second edition of the WFP EFSA Handbook (expected early 2008) will
describe an approach that combines food consumption scores (based on diet diversity
and food frequency) together with indicators of food access to create households food
security categories.

There are a few different ways you can store cereal at a household level.
For example, with the help of an aerial storage, storage on the ground, or in the drying floor and in open timber platforms.
These methods are extensively used to store foods, grains and cereals at a household level.
