-9 -(-7) = -9+7=-2

Here -9 and -7 are smaller than -3 but their difference ( i.e -2) is greater than -3 .

-4-(-5) = -4+5 = 1

Here -4 And -5 are smaller than -3 but their difference ( i.e 1) is greater than -3
