Asexual reproduction takes place in single parent and the offsprings are similar to that of the parent but in sexual reproduction two parents involved and offsprings are not similar to parent because due to the genetic recombination

sexual reproduction involves fusion of gamets and its main event is fertilization
where as asexual reproduction does not involve fusion of gamers
sexual reproduction involves more than one parent where is a asexual reproduction involved only one parent

in sexual reproduction variation is possible which means the young one of the progeny will have both kind of character from its mother and father where is in a sexual reproduction there is no variation
the main reason behind the variation is fusion of gametes in sexual reproduction leads to change in chromosome which carry both parents character hence the young one will have both its mother and father character with variation from its parent where is in a asexual reproduction young one produced is form only one parent which doesn't leads to variation
