The two properties of photons are:
- The rest mass of a photon is zero.
- The energy (E) of a photon is E = hv = hc/λ,
where h = Planck's constant, λ= wavelength, c = speed of light and v= frequency of the photon.
Violet coloured photon is more energetic.

The frequency of violet coloured photon is more as compared to the red coloured photon as red coloured photon has greater wavelength, while h (plank's constant) is the same for both of them, hence violet coloured photon will have more energy. Therefore the violet coloured photon is more energetic as compared to the red coloured photon.
