HEY MATE!

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER:

TO FIND 2 RATIONAL NUMBERS BETWENE 1/4 AND 1/5, WE WILL FIRST MAJE THE DENOMINATORS EQUAL.

THAT IS , 1×5/4×5=5/20

AND 1×4/5×4=4/20

NOW THE NUMBERS ARE 4/20 AND 5/20

NOW, WE WILL AGAIN MULTIPLY THE NUMBERS WITH 3

5×3/20×3=15/60 AND 4×3/20×3=12/60

NOW, NUMBERS BETWEEN 12/60 AND 15/60 ARE : 13/60 AND 14/60

HOPE IT HELPED ^_^

Rational numbers:

  • Rational numbers are the numbers that can be written in the form of p/q where p and q are integers and q is not equal to zero.
  • Example: 2/3, 4/5, 7/9 etc.

Given:

  • We have been given two rational numbers: 1/4 and 1/5.

To Find:

  • We need to find two rational numbers between 1/4 and 1/5.

Solution:

We have been given two rational numbers 1/4 and 1/5, inorder to find two rational numbers between these two, we need to multiply by 15/15 in 1/4 and multiply by 12/12 in 1/5.

Therefore,

On multiplying by 15/15 in 1/4, we have

 \sf{ \dfrac{1}{4}  \times  \dfrac{15}{15} }

 \sf{ =  \dfrac{15}{60} }

On multiplying by 12/12 in 1/5, we have

 \sf{ \dfrac{1}{5}  \times  \dfrac{12}{12} }

 \sf{ =  \dfrac{12}{60} }

Therefore, two rational numbers between 12/60 and 15/60 are: 13/60, 14/60.

Hence, two rational numbers between 1/4 and 1/5 are 13/60 and 14/60.
