Answer

Rational number : any number which can be expressed in the form p/q where p and q are co - prime integer and q is not equal to 0.

It includes all whole number and integers.

Rational number between -1/2 and 2/3 can be found out by:

For any two rational number x and y not necessarily positive integers, two rational number between them will be

(x+y)/2 = z------( 1 ) Remember to take signs that + and - respectively, i.e. take x and y not |x| and |y| (Note it is the middle most number between x and y)

and Similarly,

(x+z)/2 = m (note in this z is the rational number obtained in equation 1) this will yield a rational number between z and x.

m and z will respectively be your answer.

(You can use the above two as your formulas)

Now back to your question

Two Rational number between -1/2 and 2/3,

(x+y)/2 = z

(-1/2+2/3)/2 = 1⁄12

=> z= 1⁄12

(x+z)/2 = m

(-1/2+1/12)/2 = ⁻5⁄24

These are two rational number between -1/2 and 2/3,

(1⁄12,⁻5⁄24)

Hope this meets with your query
