Answer:

We were given the two rational numbers: -4/5 and -3/7

They are unlike, i.e., their denominators are not same.

So, we first make their denominators the same.

  • The LCM of 5 and 7 (the denominators) is 35. So, we multiply the numerator of the first fraction with 7 and that of the other fraction with 5.

\frac{-4}{5}= \frac{-28}{35}       \frac{-3}{7} =\frac{-15}{35}

  • Now that we have rational numbers with same denominators, we can easily find the answer by taking any two numbers between the denominators -28 and -15..!!

Rational numbers between -28/35 and -15/35 is -27/35, -26/35, -25/35 (or 5/7) and so on.

  • There are unlimited rational numbers between any two rational numbers, so there are many possible answers!

To conclude, any two rational numbers between -4/5 and -3/7 are 5/7 and -26/35.
