Answer: Always Sunday. The rest of the week I'm barefoot and lazy.

I get good night's sleep before, because I need to keep up my strength. Waking early, I have a swim and bath. Then buff my appearance as best I can. (This is the South.)

I try to get to church an hour ahead of service, because somebody always needs a hand with something. Then I expect to belt out a few good hymns, digest a thoughtful sermon, and be refreshed with joyous worship. Afterward we have a fabulous breakfast buffet, which is why I don't dare eat anything beforehand.

Then I run the car over the bridge to the mainland to spend the rest of the day shopping. Then I put my shoes up for the next 6 days; metaphorically speaking.
