. Suspensions and colloids are heterogeneous mixtures. A suspension is identifiable because its particles are large and settle out of the dispersing medium due to the effects of gravity. The dispersed particles of a colloid are intermediate in size between those of a solution and a suspension.
True solutions are the type of mixtures, where the solute and solvents are properly mixed in the liquid phase, while Colloidal solutions are the type of mixture in the liquid phase, where the solute (tiny particles or colloids) is uniformly distributed in the solvent (liquid phase)
