Answer:xylem is the water conducting tissue in plants. It provides water and minerals to all the parts of the plant body. It is unidirectional. Phloem transport food to various parts of the plant in an bidirectional way.  Explanation: Water is absorbed from soil by the root through the process of osmosis(movement of water molecules from the region of high concentration to the region of low concentration is osmosis) and ATP molecules(which provides energy also know as energy currency of the cell) helps in movement of water to all the parts of plants through xylem tissue:)
