Two ways in which beryllium resembles Aluminium is given below :

Beryllium shows diagonal relationship with Aluminium.

Both form covalent compounds. Example - The chlorides of both Al and Be, ( BeCl​2 and AlCl3) are covalent and therefore soluble in organic solvent.

BeCl​2 and AlCl3 both are lewis acid and used as catalyst in Friedel Craft reactions.
