Write two ways in which himalayas are useful to us

Himalayas are very much useful to India in many ways. It acts as a climatic barrier that prevents the cold wind from other parts of Asia and also provides rainfall in Northern India by preventing the monsoon winds. It also acts as a defense barrier in the Northern end as it prevents the country from foreign invasions.
