Phylum Chordata :-

⇒ They are categorised by the presence of Notochord , dorsal hollow nerve cord & paired pharyngal gill slits.
⇒ Oragan-system level of organisation.
⇒ Bilaterally symmetrical.
⇒ Triploblastic.
⇒ Coelomate.
⇒ They hv post anal tail.
⇒ Closed circulatory system.
⇒ Phylum chordata is divided into 3 subphyla : 1. urochordata, 2. cephalochordata & 3. vertebrata.
⇒ Subphyla urochordata n cephalochordata together called protochordata they r exclusively marine.

Examples of Urochordata → Ascidia & Salpa
Examples of Cephalochordata → Branchiostoma.
Examples of vertebrates → Placodermi & Sharks.
