I hope its about Pythagorean triplets.
a^2 + b^2 = c^2
If one number is '6'
6^2 + b^2 = c^2
36 = c^2 - b^2
36 = (c+b)*(c-b)
18*2 = (c+b)*(c-b)
c+b = 18
c-b = 2
2c = 20
c = 10, b= 8
Hence 6 , 8, 10 are the Pythagorean triplets.
Hope it helps.
[N.B :I knew the Pythagorean triplets, so i was able to split 36 as 18*2]
