My experience about ajmer
This was during my trip to Jaipur for a clients wedding. Ajmer is about 2.5 hrs drive from jaipur. It was a thursday, and as wednesday was a very late night due to wedding functions, was able to leave for Ajmer at around 11.45a.m., a good 2 hours late then planned.Reached Ajmer at 2.30pm. Met a khadim about a km away from the dargah where we parked our car. My driver was very keen to come along as even he had never been there. The khadim told us to rush as the main sanctorium doors would close at 2.45pm for some rituals and cleaning. He came with us to the dargah, but by the time we reached there by foot, it was closed.I took a chaddar and flowers from a shop inside the dargah premises as told by the Khaddim.I told the khaddim that as I had a wedding to attend I was really verey short on time. He assured me not to worry. He first took me to a person (kind of priest), right outside the dargah doors, where he (priest) said some dua's for me and asked me if i wanted to give some donation. As i had read reviews before, I was kind of aware, and so I told him that I will do so after having Darshan. He was a little annoyed, but my khaddim was fine with it and took me inside the dargah from another door, which brought us right outside the sanctorium (the room where garib nawaz tomb was).
The doors would open at 3.10m. There were nearly 100 people in the same room as I was, and thought that this would take a lot of time.Just then, my khaddim came to me, held my shoulder and took me to the door where the entry to the sanctorium was.I was just astonished and couldnt thank him enough. The door opened at 3.10pm . The khaddim was waiting for me inside the sanctorium next to the tomb.I gave him my offerings(Chaddar,Flowers, Etc) which he very heartedly put on Garib Nawaz, gave some back to me as prasad, and then on my insistence also let me bow down at the khwaja though it was very crowded.I was inside the sanctorium for almost 5 mins, where normally one is out in less than a minute with that much crowd.
We came out, the khaddim tied the sacred dhaaga around me recieting some dua's. I now told him to take me to the priest whom i had promised to come back after darshan, made a small contribution, where the priest again put the Peacock Feathered Stick on me,said some dua's again and was really happy though my contribution was a small one.
