My Opinion

In my opinion,

• Women should deserve 50% reservation which should be equal to men.

• Men and women should be given equal respect and reservation.

• The Cabinet agreed to hike reservation for women in all tiers of the panchayati raj system from the existing 33% to 50%.

• In a country where the Women Reservation Bill, reserving a third of the seats in Parliament for women, has been stonewalled for 13 years, the decision marks a victory, however small.
