Explanation: The Fun They Had is a futuristic story about how the way of teaching and learning has changed. The story tells that in the future, human teachers have been replaced by machines and, robotic and mechanical teachers and students no longer go to the ’building’ called school. Students no longer sit and learn together in a classroom. Now, the classroom is one’s room in their own house. The children in the story find a book that tells about the schools in the past, how children used to go together to school and  learn and help each other. After reading about such a school, the girl in the story starts thinking about how fun the people in the past had and thought what would it be like to have such schools for them as well.
