3x - 2y = 7  .... (1) × 1

x + 2y = -3 .... (2) × 1

USING ELIMINATION METHOD:

3x - 2y = 7      { Adding the equations; }

x + 2y = -3

-----------------

4x = 4

x = 1

Putting value of x in (i) equation;

3(1) - 2y = 7

-2y = 7 - 3

y = -4/2

y = -2
