The dignity of labor is the philosophy that all types of jobs are respected equally, and no occupation is considered superior and none of the jobs should be discriminated on any basis. Regardless of whether one's occupation involves physical work or mental labour, it is held that the job deserves respect. Social reformers such as Basava and his contemporary Sharanas, as well as Mahatma Gandhi, were prominent advocates of the dignity of labor.[1]

As we heard of the phrase - "No work is small, every work has its importance. No matter, if the work is small or big."

EXPLANATION-

Similarly, Now matter what kind of work we are indulged in to earn our livelihood for our families. So, living a life with dignity and respect is everyone's right. If we talk about, labor class it is one of the larger spread of working-class over our nation. These people work as the backbone of society. Still, I feel shame to say these sectors are one with a miserable lifestyle.  These people are our milkman's, newspaper distributors, rage pickers, household chore worker, etc. These people are lack awareness of the right due to they are forced to live that way.  But, our hypocrite society only believes to respect those with money and in the power play. On an everyday basis, no matter how wonderful these people work still be show them a rude and un-thankful attitude with them. Hence, I would like to say, that change happens at small levels, not on a large scale. So we have to start making changes in how we treat labor around our homes, workplace and society will bring change in mindset to give them and treat them with dignity and respect.
