Because it is “inconvenient" for them and they are used to organizing their world in such a way that they get to have things their way, and that arrangement can produce “mental illness" in the people who suffer the consequences of that world's arrangement.

This is just another of the millions of tactics employed by those who are used to having their way. And psychiatrists are sophisticated enough to get their way by saying mental illness is NOT a weakness … which is actually saying the same thing, while making you think they're not saying the same thing.
