Sir
I totally agree with the views, published in the article ‘Ban Poly Bags’. It is a fact that poly bags are harmful due to their non-biodegradable nature. They don’t decompose, instead they choke the drainage system. Most animals eat them and die in the long run. If they are burnt, their obnoxious smell pollutes the atmosphere.I wish that people at large, in their own interest and in the interest of mother earth wake up to this problem. Everyone should stop using poly bags. Jute bags, paper bags, etc., should take their place.
Thank you

Sir,
through the column of your esteemed newspaper,am writing this letter because we all are concerned about the well-being of marine wildlife. Due to the usage of plastic bags, there is a problem of rising ocean temperatures and the plastic itself which is killing fish life and other marine mammals. Here are eight small tips Singer and Kellogg have for reducing plastic in major ways.
- Bring your own bags and containers to the grocery store.
- Say 'no' to straws and plastic lids.
- Invest in a water filter.
- Get a stainless steel water bottle.
- Bring your own takeout container.
Thanking you
