Imagine that it is the year 2040. As a result of extensive deforestation for many decades, large areas
throughout the world have become treeless. The soil in many regions of every country has become
barren and unfit for any use. As you have grown up, write a paragraph on how the life has become so
hard with very few plants left. Also, write if any of the efforts made by the authorities have got any success.​

I am in year 2040. Now I am sixty years old. I have seen lot of changes and replacement in nature and environment therefore I can not say that this year is good enough for living. As a result of extensive deforestation for many decades, large areas throughout the world have become treeless. The soil in many regions of every country has become barren and unfit for any use. Yet we are living now like a machine. If I get chance to do something for us and nature then first of all I will plant lot of trees because only tree can save us from this dangerous situation of man made trouble. Let's explain why tree is very much important and why we are living like a machine and why we should plant lot of trees. First tree serves to free the atmosphere from the grave danger pollution. Second, it also prevents soil erosion and thereby indirectly stops flood. It also produces rain, sweet fruits, flowers, medicines. We can use dead trees as fuel for cooking or any purposes. Tree not only gives us oxygen but also tree itself is a house of birds , insects and few animals. Birds and insects play major role of breeding through pollination. Moreover birds,trees,insects ,animals, flowers are the ornaments of nature and without them automatically nature will loose her balance for ever. Without trees soil will become barren and it will be unfruitful for plants , crops and so on . Without crops there will be nothing remain for eating. So everything is related to trees and this is why we are now living like a machine. Now we can't take pure air for breathing, and we take manure adeed foods which is very much dangerous for health. Next we should take care about 'population' because only for it deforestation is happening and life has become so hard with very few plants left. So everything is depending on human beings, they are only reason for the downfall of nature and thus the year has become useless.

It is the year 2040 AD. Life has literally become hell. The forest cover on the planet is below the critical level. As a result the proportion of carbon dioxide and other lethal gases in the atmosphere has gone up. Very few species of plants and animals is are left. The seas and other water bodies have become toxic. The aquatic life is on the verge of extinction. Land has become infertile. Thousands of people die everyday of pollution, starvation, incurable diseases and thirst. Though the Government is trying hard to plant forest covers, but saplings planted don't respond. Ninety-percent die within a few days. Would that man had taken care of the planet since beginning!
