Winters are often unbearably cold, summers equally hot and rainfall either too much or
too little so that some parts of the country get flooded at the same time as other parts
face a drought.
Imagine that you visited a hill station last week where there was a sudden heavy
rainfall--it continued without stopping for two full days. This resulted in various kinds
of problems and difficulties, some of which were severe. There was also a great deal of
damage and destruction through landslide, and slush entering houses and shops.
Write a letter to the editor of a newspaper expressing your concern. Give details of what
you saw and the kind of troubles that arose due to the heavy and continuous rainfall.​
