John: Hello everyone! We are about to speak about the importance of       English literature. The history of English Literature starts with the Anglo-Saxons and Germanic settlers in Anglo-Saxon England in the 5th century, c. 450. The oldest English literature was in Old English which is the earliest form of English and is a set of Anglo-Frisian dialects. Studying English literature opens up a world of inspiration and creativity, while also developing skills that are essential for today's global environment.

Irfand: It is a chance to discover how literature makes sense of the world through stories, poems, novels and plays. It is also a chance to sharpen your own ability to write, read, analyze and persuade.

Ravina: Studying for an English Literature degree allows you to develop a thorough knowledge of literary history, theory, and criticism, and enhances your understanding of a wide range of cultures and intellectual traditions.

John: I’d like to add a point with my teammate’s opinion that English literature teaches you to think critically about complex topics from different perspectives,  It broadens your horizons, It enables you to develop transferable skills.    

Irfand: Saving the English literature is a very important asset that every individual in the word must take care of.

Ravina: I’d like to elaborate my teammate’s point, for saving the literature we can take the soft copies and publish in internet. So it can be accessed anywhere and anytime.

John: I’d like to conclude that English literature is a great thing that happened in this world and we must take great care of it so the next generation also gets the knowledge that we got.
