The poem has a rather harsh end where the children are led into a cave never to be seen

Pled Piper leads children to cave people scream and cry
approach the Mayor - Mayor does not give the promised
amount of coins to the Piper- people come up with a
solution - everyone contributes coins - people give the
collected amount to the Pper kept his word - children come
running out of cave - taughing and singing - "Oh what a
lovely time we had at the Piper's party - lots of food and music
and fun-parents thank and embrace the Pied Piper - ask him to
keep the money
