• The famous 40-year-old local magician known by his stage name Vadugar Mandrake did a magic stunt in river Hoogly on 16th June 2019 in the region of Kolkata but, despite his assumption of everything being under control, he drowned.  

• He tried to come up to water, but he was tied up with chains and ropes for the trick.  

• After he had not been seen in ten minutes, the onlookers started panicking and called the North Port Police station to search for him in the water and on Tuesday his dead body was found.
