Ice is a solid substance. When kept at room temperature the ice will change its state from solid to liquid.

Explanation:

The change of state of any substance from 'solid to liquid' is known at Melting. The 'freezing point of ice' is 0^{\circ} \mathrm{C} or 32^{\circ}F. Sometimes water does not change to solid form because of the impurities present in the water. A temperature above 0^{\circ} \mathrm{C}or 32^{\circ}F is the melting point for ice.
