A Money Bill refers to a draft law introduced in Lok Sabha. The Bill deals with issues such as receipt and spending of money, such as tax laws, laws governing borrowing and expenditure of the government, prevention of black money etc. Instead of being a separate Bill in itself, a money bill is more like a category
However, the motion for leave to introduce a finance bill or an appropriation bill is forthwith put to the vote of the house. Money/appropriation bills and financial bills can be introduced only in the Lok Sabha per Articles 109, 110 and 117. The Speaker of Lok Sabha decides whether a bill is a money bill or not.
