Subject: Banning old vehicles

Sir:

I am writing this letter to express my deep concern over the ever increasing vehicular pollution. The number of vehicles have been rising drastically in all the cities in India. It is estimated that approximately 217.7 tons of carbon monoxide is emitted in all the metropolitan cities. Similarly, 66.7 tons of hydrocarbons are released in the air every day. Other pollutants such as lead, Sulphur dioxide, and particulate matter are released into the air.

These pollutants cause many serious health hazards such as cough, nausea, headache, , irritation of eyes, various bronchial and visibility problems. The Government and people must join hands to overcome this problem. The Government must ban very old vehicles; the Government must also start providing electrical vehicles to people at subsidized cost. People must also adopt pollution free vehicles.

I appeal to the Government to implement air pollution control policies at the earliest. Kindly give my views enough space in the columns of your esteemed daily.

Thanking you.

Yours truly,

Subject: Banning of old vehicles.

Sir/Madam,

With the column of your steem i would like to bring to your kind notice that the old vehicles is creating an hazardous effect on living beings especially humans and animals.

As we all know that tree provides us soothing air and purify the air and gives us fresh air to breathe .Our environment is of great advantage to us . It is observed that the freshness in air is fading due to emissions of harmful gases such as CO2 ,so2 etc. These gases are very hazardous to human health. Various disease including asthma, bronchitis are caused due to the release of these gases.

Old vehicles are playing a crucial role in promoting all these factors . During the past two decades, it is observed that the percentage of CO2 has increased from 0.02-0.0.3%.These vehicles consume very large amount of fuels which in turns releases maximum amount of CO2 gas.

Our fresh air is now being polluted by all these gases .

If we replaced old vehicles by a new one then this problem might be brought under control . As we know that new Vehicles would consume less amount of fuels and our environment will not be affected too much comparatively. Hope you will look into the matter immediately and take some effective steps.

Yours sincerely,

Shrawan Sah.
