Mechanic and the Doctor
Ram the mechanic had got a break-down call some minutes ago and was driving to the Raipur Hills to attend to it. It was a hilly terrain all the way up and the road had several hair-pin bends.
At one point his attention fell on a car lying on its side, on one of the steep drops below. Ram acted quickly and brought his haul-truck to a halt by the road side. He called his friend who owned a workshop and asked him to attend to the breakdown at Raipur Hills. He then called one of his friends who was a doctor and gave him directions to the spot. He then positioned his haul-truck and loosened the crane cable. Holding on to it, he carefully climbed down the narrow, steep drop and reached the car safely.
The driver was hurt and stuck inside. By then his doctor friend – Vishnu, had reached and called out to him. Ram asked Vishnu to climb down. Soon both of them succeeded in freeing the driver from the car. Then supporting him between them, they slowly climbed back.
By then a crowd had gathered on top and they cheered and applauded. Doctor Vishnu gave the driver first-aid and took him along with him to the hospital. Ram hauled the car up and towed it back to the town.
