1. Bikaner Camel Festival, Rajasthan
During the month of January, the state of Rajasthan organizes the Bikaner Camel Festival to celebrate camels- the "king of the desert." The camels are adorned with fine jewelry, along with the vibrant and colorful bridles, bejeweled necks and jingling anklets. During the festival, activities such as camel races, camel milking, fur cutting, best breed competition, camel acrobatics and even camel beauty pageants are held to honor the camels! The grounds host numerous stalls displaying an amazing variety of souvenirs, local goods and cuisines!

2. Goa Carnival, Goa
Visiting Goa anyway makes you feel like you’re in a carnival, but this one is the real deal. The Indian version of Cinco de Mayo is this three-day carnival which is all about party, parade, celebration, and fun. The major parade held in Panjim consists of floats, entertainers and dancers. This is the best time to visit Goa as many hotels provide bonfire, ball night, and other celebrations for the guests and the beaches have beach parties all night long!

In Mumbai there are city wide competitions for the best Ganesh Idol! On the first day, people buy clay idols of Ganesh and perform religious rituals and worship Lord Ganesha. Navratri is a nine-day festival, celebrated by Hindus to worship Goddess Durga. Different parts of the country celebrate this festival for different reasons. 7. RannUtsav, Kutch
This is the longest festival of the country, spanning for four months starting from the end of October to February. This is the winter festival of Rann of Kutch, the salt desert of Gujarat.
