Such forces are called unbalanced forces.
The unbalanced forces can change the state of motion of an object.
NOTE : It is wrong to think that an object is moving under the continuous application of an
' Unbalanced forces' ; an object can move with uniform velocity when the forces acting on an object balance each other.
So here's an example of unbalanced force :-
↪ When riding on a bicycle we stop pedalling, the bicycle slows down due to force of friction.
When the pedal of the bicycle with such a force that the applied force just balance the frictional force, the bicycle moves with uniform velocity.
When we pedal the bicycle harder, its speed increases or its direction of motion changes.
Thus, to accelerate the motion or some other object, an unbalanced force is required.
Also, the change in velocity ( change in speed or in direction of Motion).
Would continue as long as this unbalanced force acts.
Hope this helps you dear✌

If you kick a football and it moves from one place to another, it means that unbalanced forces are acting upon it. Ball moves from one place to another after kicking it. This is an example of unbalanced force.
Hope it helps ☺️
