• Bilateral symmetry can be applied to the organisms that can be divided along a longitudinal or "sagittal plane" into two mirrored portions.

• The organisms which follow the rules of bilateral symmetry, are proved to have much better directional (forward) movements than the organisms which follow the rules of radial symmetry.

• The phenomenon of Bilateral symmetry is strongly associated with "*Cephalization".

• The organisms which follow the rules of bilateral symmetry, are collectively known as "Bilateria".
