The value of x will be 1/2.

Given - Expression

Find - Value of x

Solution - To solve the equation we will find the value of x. The value of x on subtraction with 1/2 should give zero. So, as we know, if we subtract two equal numbers, the result is always zero. In those two equal numbers, one should have positive sign and other should have negative sign.

So, representing the above mentioned fact in given expression.

x -   \frac{1}{2}  = 0

Shifting 1/2 to the Right Hand Side of equation to find the value of x

x =  \frac{1}{2}

If the value of x is 1/2, the given expression in question will hold true. Hence, the equation will be solved if value of x is 1/2.
