Given Equation is (x - 1)^2 + 1 = 2x - 3.
= > x^2 + 1 - 2x = 2x - 3
= > x^2 - 2x + 1 + 3 = 2x
= > x^2 - 2x + 4 = 2x
= > x^2 - 2x - 2x + 4 = 0
= > x^2 - 4x + 4 = 0.
It is in the form of ax^2 + bx + c = 0
Where a = 1, b = -4, c = 4.
Therefore it is a quadratic equation.
Hope this helps!
