1st Method

(x+\frac{1}{2} )  ×  ( x + \frac{1}{2} )    is like  A × A = A²

Using Identity A × A = A²

(x+\frac{1}{2} )  ×  ( x + \frac{1}{2} )

( x + \frac{1}{2} ) ^{2}

Using Identity ( a + b )²  =  a² + 2ab + b²

( x + \frac{1}{2} ) ^{2}

⇒ x² + ( 2 × x × \frac{1}{2} ) + (\frac{1}{2} )^{2}

⇒ x² + x + \frac{1}{2^{2} }

x^{2} + x + \frac{1}{4}

∴ Simplified answer  ⇒⇒⇒  x^{2} + x + \frac{1}{4}

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2nd Method

( x + \frac{1}{2} ) (x + \frac{1}{2} )

⇒ x ( x + \frac{1}{2} )  + \frac{1}{2} ( x + \frac{1}{2} )

⇒ x² + \frac{1}{2} x + \frac{1}{2} x + \frac{1}{4}

⇒ x² + x + \frac{1}{4}

∴ Simplified answer  ⇒⇒⇒  x^{2} + x + \frac{1}{4}

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope It Helps You !   :D       ^_^
