Step-by-step explanation:

=>(x-1)²+(y-1)²=0

=>[(x- 1)+(y- 1)]²+2[(x-1)+(y-1)]=0

=>(x -1)+(y -1)+2=0

=>x+y - 2+2=0

=>x+y=0..... (i)

Again

=>(x -1)²+(y -1)²=0

=>x² - 2x + 1 + y² - 2y +1 = 0

=>x²+y²- 2(x+y) +2 = 0

=>x²+y²= -2..... (ii)

Now multiply equ (i ) with x and subtract from equ ... ( ii)

=>x²+ y²- x²-xy = -2-0

=>x - y = 2y.....( iii )

Adding equation ( i) and ( iii )

we get x= y

therefore when value of x will be Same as value of y will be Same.

=>a²+b²=(a+b)²–2ab
