FIRSTLY,

WE KNOW

x = 1 \div (3 + 2 \sqrt{2} )

LET'S RATIONALISE IT,

x =( 1 \div (3 + 2 \sqrt{2} ) )\times( (3 - 2 \sqrt{2} ) \div (3 - 2 \sqrt{2} ))

x = (3 - 2 \sqrt{2} ) \div (9 - 6 \sqrt{2} + 6 \sqrt{2} - 8)

x = (3 - 2 \sqrt{2} ) \div 1

NOW LET'S SQUARE x...

 {x}^{2} =( 3 - 2 \sqrt{2} ) {}^{2}

x {}^{2} = 9 - (4 \times 2)

x {}^{2} = 9 - 8 = 1

THEREFORE,

1 \div {x}^{2} = 1 \div 1

LET'S NOW FIND x^2+1/x^2...

i.e. 1+(1÷1)=2

HOPE IT HELPS YOU...
